VALLEY, Charles H. – age 74 of Burton, MI passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Charles was born on July 13, 1941 in Flint, MI. He served his country in the United States Navy. Charles married Linda Kerst on June 5, 1964. He worked for General Motors for many years before retiring in 2000. Charles was a member of the Burton Eagles and Pheasants Forever. He enjoyed his road trips, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a college sports enthusiast and enjoyed making wine, never for himself, but to give to others. Charles was very outgoing, a wonderful friend, and loved every moment of life. Surviving are his children; Charles J. Valley, and Misty (Daniel) Valley-Buchwald; granddaughter, Harper Buchwald; brothers, Donald (Elsie) Valley, Dewayne (Kay) Bentley; sisters, Kathryn (Dale) Clark, Barbara (Gerald) Hodgeson, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda Valley in 2002. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
