CLARK, Douglas D. – of Tawas City, MI, formerly of Davison, MI, age 76, passed away October 16, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Burial of cremated remains will take place in Crestwood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Friday and 12-1 PM Saturday.
Douglas was born in Flint, MI on July 13, 1942, son of the late Wilbur Douglas and Virginia Eleanor (Allen) Clark. He married Linda Bostwick on April 15, 1961 and she preceded him in death on May 28, 1989. Douglas then met and shared his life with Elizabeth Bridges. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #370 and retired in 1998 after 50 years. Douglas was an avid fly fisherman, hunter and gardener. He loved to cook and was a big sports fan.
Douglas is survived by his longtime companion, Elizabeth Bridges; children, Deirdre (Thomas) Laviolette, Cheryl (Charlie) Mitchell, Doug (Angela) Clark, Lisa (special friend, Paul Kaiser) Hicks, Rich (Tanya) Clark, Nicole (James) Allred, Courtney Bridges; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, William (Sharon) Clark, James (Margaret) Clark, Judy (Bob) Benson, Nellie Miller.
