LEWIS, Bonnie Doris (Vail) - Age 86, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday September 8, 2020. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Bonnie was born April 26, 1934 in Crowder, OK, the daughter of Joseph and Minnie Vail. She lived in Crowder and Canadian Oklahoma for years until 1995 in which she moved and resided in Fenton, MI, marrying Ralph Lewis. They lived there until his passing in 2003. Bonnie then moved and resided in Swartz Creek for 17 years until her passing. She was a loving and caring women that always helped her family whenever she could. She loved to socialize and make friends at the Swartz Creek Senior Center. Bonnie also enjoyed walking miles a day around Swartz Creek and enjoyed playing bingo at the Senior Center and during Swartz Creek Hometown Days and loved working in her garden. Surviving are:son, Robert Louis Smith of Flint; granddaughters, Britney (Alice) Smith of Swartz Creek, Charlotte Young of GA; grandson, Brian Salmens of LA; great grandchildren, Kinsleigh, Lexi and Emily of GA. Bonnie is also survived by her sister, Smidge ImoJean Vail Robertson of OK. As well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Minnie Vail; husband, Ralph Lewis; daughter, Glenda Salmens; daughter-in-law, Terry Smith; brothers, Pete, Coley, Elmer, Vail; her twin sister, Betty and sisters, Inaz and Norm.
