Robert E. Bruno age 84 of Bancroft, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at The Lodge of Durand. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 20, 2015 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes of Bancroft. Rev. Dr. Gary Evans will be officiating. Burial to follow at Freemont Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service. Robert was born August 24, 1931 in Durand, MI a son of Wells and Lucia (Drake) Bruno. He graduated Durand High School in 1949. On December 9, 1953 he married Dorothy M. Mack. Robert enjoyed farming which he had done all of his life. Prior to his retirement in 1995 he had been employed by General Motors for 40 years. Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bruno; children, Cynthia (Leroy) Habermehl, Douglas (Sylvia) Bruno, and Debra (Durk) Martin; grandchildren, Jennifer Habermehl, Sandra Ellison, Lisa Hasyn, Amy Brinkman, Kaitlin Bruno, Jonathan Beavis, James Beavis, Jeffrey Beavis, Sarah Mowrer, Evan Martin, and Evan Katz; and great grandchildren, Brittany, David, Parker, Madalyn, Benjamin, Steven, Noah, and Emery.
