HAGER, Ora Mae - Of Davison, age 78, died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastors Scott Grigonis and Frank Beck co-officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 12-8pm Monday and 10am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ora Mae was born in Monette, Arkansas on October 12, 1938, the daughter of Thomas and Edna (Poe)Beardsley. On April 6, 1957, she married Charles Hager in Flint. “Mae” was an avid golfer and a past member of the Goodrich Country Club. Ora Mae was a homemaker and a member of First Flint Wesleyan Church where she led the Food Bank Ministry. She belonged to the Davison Athletic Club where she made many close friends at Water Aerobics.
The biggest joys in her life were her son and his family. She loved spending time with them and watching her grandsons play sports.
Surviving are son, Rick (Emily) Hager;
grandsons, Isaac and Benjamin Hager;
sisters, Jennilee Stressen-Reuter, Doris Early, Pat (Jeff) Davis, Linda (Jim) Overmeyer, Diane (Jerry)Driggett, Pam Beardsley and Vicki (Wally) Arsenault;
brothers, James (Karen) Beardsley, Nathan (Debbie) Beardsley, Tommy (Lori) Beardsley;
and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hager, father, Thomas Beardsley, mother Edna Beardsley and brother, Billy Beardsley.
