Mrs. James 87 passed away peacefully Wednesday May 28, 2014 at her home following lingering illness. She was born in Flint, Michigan on April 28, 1927 to the late Jacob I. & Catherine (Labodzinski) Novak. She married Robert C. James on July 6, 1946 in Flint and they moved to Gladwin in 1975, he preceded her in death on January 31, 1005. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed playing Sequence with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and adopting many children with her open arms and heart to welcome them into her life.
She is survived by her children Robert C. Jr. & Linda James, Kenneth L. & Linda James, Paul D. James, Steven James, Jerry E. & Barbara James and Janet M. & Terry Meyerson; 24 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren; a brother in law Larry & Sheena James and her feline companion Miss Kitty. She was preceded in death by her 2 sons Richard Thomas James and John Michael James, a grandson Garret James, 2 brothers Harry & Lorraine Novak and Floyd & Delores Novak.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday June 2, 2014 at 11 am from Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Fr. John Cotter presiding with inurnment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the church on Monday from 9 am to time of Mass. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimers Foundation and Mission Food Pantry. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
