UPTIGROVE, Kent M. – of Davison, age 72, passed away January 21, 2016 at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Gary Uptigrove officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Kent was born in Flint, MI on August 2, 1943, son of the late Walter and Mary (Pulaski) Uptigrove. He married Sharron Carlson on February 23, 1963. Kent retired from GM in February 1991 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved everything about the outdoors.
Kent is survived by his wife, Sharron; daughters, Bonnie (Randolph Fern) Ferguson and Thressa (John) Lynch; grandchildren, Kardiea, Amber, Anna, Jacqueline and Ryan; great-granddaughter, Kami; brother, Rodney (Marcia) Uptigrove, nephew, Stephen (Nancy) Uptigrove; dog, Meiko. He was preceded in death by nephew, Michael Uptigrove.
