ROGER BARCIA, age 80 of Davison, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, May 31, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Ken Coughlin officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Davison. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from Noon-8PM at the funeral home and on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the church from 9:30AM until the time of his service. Roger was born in Bay City, MI on January 17, 1939 to LeRoy and Margaret Barcia. He served in the US Air Force from 1958-1964 and in the US Air Force Reserves from 1962-1964. After serving in the military, Roger was hired by Buick as a welder in 1964 before retiring in 1994. He married Renate Segebrecht on May 23, 1964 at St. James Catholic Church in Bay City. Roger was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, St. Francis Men’s Club and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed traveling and camping all around the country. Roger is survived by his Wife Renate; children: Roger (Anita) Barcia, David (Tammy) Barcia, Michelle (Troy) Wisenbaugh, and Michael Barcia; grandchildren: Jennifer, Stephanie, Tiffany, Alex, Chrissy, and Kenny (Amber); great grandchildren; KJ and Aubree; siblings; Joe (Karen) Barcia, Chuck Barcia, and Cindy (Ron) Schoof. He was preceded in death by his daughter Laura, parents, brothers Tom and Don Barcia. |
