BURNHAM, Imogene A. - Of Flushing, age 92, died peacefully Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Brother Don Dennis officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 3-8pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Imogene was born in Malden, Missouri on August 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Lester and Ida (Bridges) Walker. She married Arthur W. Burnham on September 14, 1944. They resided in Flint and Flushing, Michigan. Imogene retired from the Coldwater Road Fisher Body Plant. She was also a long-standing member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Flint. Over the years, Imogene enjoyed playing dominoes and going to garage sales with sister-in-law, Dorothy Walker, and spending time with special aunt Elizabeth Schneider.
She leaves behind her son, Rodney (Sally) Burnham;
grandchildren, Carol Munkvold, Kimberly (Mike) Rogier, Kristin Nickerson, and April Burnham;
great-grandchildren, Seth Burnham, Geoffrey (Laura) Munkvold; Kaitlin Neal; Joshua, Hayley and Brandon Vath; Kamryn Nickerson, Wylie and Olyve Cross, and Kodiak Kimber;
5 great-great-grandchildren;
and special cousin and best friend, Earlynn Frye.
Imogene was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Arthur W. Burnham; son, Arthur R. Burnham and his wife Donna (Abbott) Burnham; grandson, Rodney A. Burnham; brothers, Rolla, Eugene, CR and Lavelle Walker, sister Margaret (Walker) Gettings, and special friend, Wayne Stearns.
Imogene was adored by everyone who knew her!
