Mary Alice Hall, 89, a 60 year resident of Flint, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday April 24, 2011.
Mary was born on March 19, 1922 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Marion & Pearl (McGlawn) Tucker. She married Lenden Hall on October 9, 1937 in Kennett, MO. Mary worked for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1981. Mary loved her family, church and traveling to see her grandchildren. She enjoyed television, particularly game shows. Mary was known for good cooking and holidays at her home. She loved gardening and flowers.
Mary is survived by her children: Jeannette (Chuck) Dooley of Millington, Brenda (Larry) Messenger of Lapeer & Jackie (Jan) Babiszewski of Yuba City, CA, grandchildren: Rhonda, Robin, Michelle, Tim, Angie & Jason, great grandchildren: Ashley, Lindsey, Nathan, Kana, Allie, Emily, Erik & Nina, great-great granddaughter, Annie Ruth, brother, Donald Eskew, sister, Tommie Loftin, & her sisters-in-law: Billie Meredith and Zell Tucker. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lenden Hall, brother, Junior Tucker, and her parents.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm Tuesday April 26, 2011 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Mary’s funeral service will be 11:00am Wednesday April 27, 2011 at Muir Brothers, David Powell officiating.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mary can be made to the charity of your choice. Mary’s family would like to give a special thank you to McLaren Hospice and particularly caregivers Debbie, Sandy & Chelsea.
