SWEDORSKE, Helen Elizabeth – Of Swartz Creek, age 90, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at The Landings of Genesee Valley.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Church 4413 South Morrish Road, Swartz Creek, Father Louis Ekka officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary Queen of Angels Church.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Swedorske will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the Mass.
Helen was born in Grassflat, PA on June 2, 1927, the daughter of the late Martin and Mildred Backa. She was a resident of Coalport, PA, Chesaning, MI and Swartz Creek, MI.
On September 2, 1950 she married Gregory Swedorske at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Church in Swartz Creek.
She was a housewife and loving mother.
Surviving are husband, Gregory F. Swedorske;
children, Patricia Smith,
Gregory Swedorske, Jr.,
Susan (Greg) Pobocik,
Mark (Lucy) Swedorske,
Mary (Dan) Shinsky,
Michael (Jan) Swedorske and
Joseph (Jennifer) Swedorske;
11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; several sisters and brothers.
