Jakowczyk, Gyp – of Flint, formerly Millington, age 88, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Charles March-Banks officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery – Arbela Township. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-9 PM, Wednesday from 1-9 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until time of service.
Gyp was born February 14, 1923 in Stone, Kentucky to the late Alvin and Lydia (Hatfield) Trout. She had resided in Millington most of her life. She married Paul Jakowczyk November 20, 1965. He preceded her in death October 5, 1996. She and her late husband , Paul, owned and operated Bray Road TV Sales and Service for many years. She married Earl Hensley in May 3, 2003. She was a current member of Grand Blanc Church of Christ and a former member of Mt. Morris Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, cooking and garage sales.
Surviving are: husband, Earl Hensley; 9 children: William (Jeanne) Hensley, Margaret Sexton, Michael (Janet) Hensley, Joseph Hensley, Allen Hensley, Wanda (William) Robinson, Debbie Curtis (Chuck Walderzak), Lynn Hensley and Robert Hensley. 72 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. Brother: Buddy and wife Bonnie. 3 sisters: Sarah and husband Walt, Rita and Nina. Several nieces and nephews. Gyp was also preceded in death by 2 daughters: Elizabeth Hensley and Carol Coleman; 2 grandsons: Johnny Coleman and Joseph Wise.
