DAENZER, Jeanette K. - Of Grand Blanc, age 78, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at Genesys Convalescent Center.
Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 22, 2015
at Faith Lutheran Church, 12535 South Holly Road, Grand Blanc,
Pastor Todd A. Biermann officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Relay for Life, Reverence Hospice or American Cancer Society.
Visitation 12-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.
Jeanette was born in Flint on November 26, 1936, the daughter of James and Beatrice (Kreh) Nichols. On September 15, 1956 she married Dean Daenzer in Birch Run by Dean’s father, Reverend Herbert M. Daenzer. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for 54 years. Jeanette taught Sunday School for many years. In 1979, she was given the award for Teacher of the Year. She was a past Officer of The Women of Faith. She loved bowling and enjoyed camping, traveling and being at their home on the Manistee River. She enjoyed being a snowbird at Daytona Beach, Florida. She loved her flowers.
Surviving are husband, H. Dean;
sons, Ronald and wife Staci of Oakton, Virginia, Michael and wife Lisa of Grand Blanc, David and wife Jeana of Traverse City;
grandchildren, Alan, Erik, Emily, Katie, Drew, Darcy and Joshua;
brothers, Herb and wife Glendora Nichols, Dennis and wife Karen Nichols and Jim and wife Jean Nichols;
brother-in-law, Don and wife, Nancy Daenzer;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff at the Genesys-Hurley Cancer Institute for their many years of love and personal care of Jeanette.
The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord lift his countenance upon you and give you peace. The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious, the Lord be gracious unto you. Amen
