HARDY (SHOLLER, BERTRAM), Linda – Of Grand Blanc, age 79, died Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
To honor her wishes, a graveside service with her immediate family only, has taken place; Reverend Tracie Little of St. Jude’s Episcopal Church of Fenton presiding.
Linda was born on March 13, 1940, in Durand, Michigan, to Claude and Helen (Walker) Sholler. She had two brothers, Duane (Norma) Sholler, Gerald (Maude, Amy) Sholler and two sisters, Mary (Glen) Taylor, Sharon (Dick) Brelinski whom she loved fiercely.
Linda and Bruce Hardy were married January 29 1983; they did everything together until his death September 28, 2019. She deeply loved her children, Cindy (Dave) Shields, Butch (Julie) Bertram;
grandchildren, Jason (Christie) Shields, Brad (Amber) Shields, Amber Bertram, Sam Bertram, Zachary Bertram;
great-grandchildren, Wyatt Shields, Gabriel Shields, Maura Shields and Braden Shields.
Included in that circle of love are step-children, Lynette Husted, Craig (Karen) Hardy, Bruce (Tammy) Hardy and Jim (Tonya) Hardy, step-grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She loved all her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.
Family gatherings always included singing to the guitars with Linda and her sisters singing perfect three-part harmony.
After the death of her sisters, she discovered karaoke, looked for any opportunity to sing and developed close friendships along the way. Linda also enjoyed the friendship of her St. Jude’s church family and special friends, Dick and Karen Sutliff.
A special thanks to the ER and ICU nurses and doctors at Ascension Genesys Hospital, especially Nichole, Jen and Lisa, for their tender care.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
