MACCIOMEI, Elisio – Of Flushing, age 78, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Avalon Hospice.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012
St. Robert Catholic Church 310 North Cherry Street, Flushing,
Father Roy Horning officiating.
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Macciomei will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the Mass.
Elisio was born in Patrica, Italy on April 16, 1934, and was a resident of the United States since 1938.
He married Irma Gonzalez on June 11, 1955.
He was a lifetime member of the Sons of Italy.
Mr. Macciomei was employed by General Motors for 45 years, retiring in 1999.
Surviving are his son, Renaldo and wife Darlene;
5 daughters, Valarie (Michael) Godlesky,
Yvonne Sebok,
Lisa (Dennis) Gray, all of Flushing,
Michele (John) Wuschner of Farmington, CT and
Andrea (Jason) Bescoe of Goodrich;
16 grandchildren;
1 great-grandchild;
brothers, Albert (Marian) and Dan (Beverly) Macciomei.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma; parents, Arcangelo and Emilia; 2 brothers, Gino and Walter.
