MYERS, Esther Emma - Of Mt. Morris, age 94, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at her daughter’s residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery 1pm Monday, July 16, 2018.
Visitation 1-8pm Sunday and 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Esther was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 4, 1924, the daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie (Spitz) Irish. On May 11, 1946, she married Junior Myers in Saginaw. Esther very much enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardening, playing cards, especially "hand & foot" or the 'ace game'. She also enjoyed embroidery and cross stich. Esther’s baking is king and she baked every day, her family says her apple pie was second to none.
She is survived by her daughters Carol Lilliberg of Flint and Connie (Jess) Dowland of Gladwin, sons, Melvin (Bonnie) Myers of Mt. Morris,
and Ken (Sandy) Myers;
10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and her twin sister, Ethyl Smale.
She was predeceased by her husband Junior, parents and one brother.
