Dover, Angela T. of Flint, formerly of Cherokee, Iowa, age 94, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at McLaren-Flint. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon Monday, June 2, 2014, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Flint. Fr. Robert Copeland will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home and 11 a.m. Monday at the church until time of the Mass. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to any Humane Society.
Angela was born in Cherokee, Iowa on January 12, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Eva (Kohn) Henke. She married Marshall J. Dover. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1984.
Mrs. Dover worked and retired from the Michigan Employment Security Commission. She was a longtime member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing and playing Euchre and loved animals. Angela was a Flint Generals hockey fan and a former Girl Scout leader. Her humor, kindness, and loving way will be sadly missed.
Mrs. Dover is survived by her daughter, Anita and husband David Krug of Flint; son, Michael Dover and fiancée Maryann Payment of Flushing; five grandchildren, Carolyn and husband Brian, David, Rachel, Joel and Kathryn; two brothers, Richard and wife Sally Henke and Cletus Henke, all of Cherokee, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Frank Jackson of Flint; and many other friends. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Delores and brother, Raymond.
