STORK, Richard L. – of Davison, age 89, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 13, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison, Rev. Todd Frusti officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 11 AM -2 & 4-8 PM on Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Memorial Committee.
Richard was born in Flint, MI on May 18, 1924, son of the late John and Gladys (Tanner) Stork. He married Virginia “Ginger” Douglas on January 1, 1944 and she preceded him in death on February 3, 2009. Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the WWII and the Korean War. He then became a chemical engineer for General Motors for 30 years and retired in 1980. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Davison VFW Post #4087, Sigma Phi Delta in Angola, Indiana and the Flint Genealogical Society.
Richard is survived by children, Rick and Sandy Stork, Tobi and Mike Robinson-Stork and Michelle and Nick Lenzi; grandchildren, Matthew and Sydnie Stork, David Lenzi; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
