RYDER, BRYAN A. “RED” - Of Ft. Myers, Florida in the winter and Burton, MI in the summer died March 31, 2020 at North Fort Myers Florida Home.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 711 South Saginaw, Flint, Reverend Daniel Scheid officiating.
Burial in Tanner Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2020 at church and visitation 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
Bryan was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on July 30, 1943, the son of Arthur and Ethel (Nancarrow) Ryder.
Bryan, his parents and sister came to Flint from Montreal in 1950.
He attended Flint schools and graduated in 1961 from Southwestern in the second class. Bryan played on the golf team and swam on the swim team.
He married Sandra at Atherton United Methodist on June 12, 1965.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
He loved playing golf anytime he could; played Bridge and other cards in the evening.
Bryan retired from Buick Engine Plant in 2004.
Surviving are wife, Sandra;
son, Richard (Dawn);
daughter, Kim (Steve) Harmon;
granddaughter, Alex (Ethan) Gehrke;
sister, Joan (Jim) Higgins;
2 nieces; one nephew; several step-children and step-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Sue (Les) Fries.
