MASON, Edwin L. “Ned” Jr.- of Birch Run, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the age of 79.
Edwin was born on May 23, 1935 in Flint to the late Edwin Sr. and Frances (Crossman) Mason. He married Delores Totten (Spencer) on June 17, 1983. Ned retired from Merchants & Medical Credit Corporation of Flint. He was a former licensed polygraph examiner, private investigator, detective bureau reporter and hospital financial manager. Ned coached Little League Baseball and Basketball and was a former member of the Birch Run Athletic Association. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
Surviving are: wife, Delores; children, Lee Anne (Ron) Lawler, Harold (Jennie) Mason, Edwin Mason III, Bradley Mason, Scott (Laurie) Totten, Sandra (Dan) Newcombe, Mark (Tonya) Totten; daughter-in-law, Rayleen Munson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by: a son, Jeff Mason and brother, Stewart Mason.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Rev. Eddie Phillips officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-8 PM and Wednesday from 12 PM until time of services at 1 PM. Contributions may be made to the family to decide at a later date.
