Morrish, Gloria D. – of Montrose, age 79, died Thursday, October 20, 2016, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-9 PM, Monday from 1-9 PM, and Tuesday from 12 PM until the time of service at 2 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Gloria was born October 11, 1937, in Flint, Michigan to the late Gerald and Belva (Krueger) Cole. She had resided in Montrose since 1969. Gloria married Michael Morrish October 28, 1978. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2015. She collected snowmen and enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Gloria especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: 5 wonderful children: Michele Pasheek, Jeff Guest, Brian Guest, Kerri Sherbino, and Geri Ann Stafford; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Donald (Shirley) Cole and Michael (Pamela) Shaw; Best friend, Eleanor Smith. Gloria was also preceded in death by 3 sons in law: Dave "Pete" Larkin, Robert Gorecki, and Clayton VanWormer; Sister, DeLane Hall; and great-grandson, Colt Ryan Powell.
