HUMPHREY, Peggy Joyce - Of Flint, age 88, died Thursday, May 10, 2018
at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Larry Burk officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to contribute to U of M Health Services Research
Visitation 4-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Peggy was born in Flint on March 17, 1930, the eldest of four children of Frank and Mildred (Olds) Lemonds. She married James Humphrey, her beloved husband of 54 years, in Flint, Michigan on June 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death on May 20, 2005. Peggy felt that her greatest accomplishment was being a mother to her four children. She loved all things nature, especially Spring, when everything came back to life again.
Surviving are four children, Karen and husband John West of Flint, Kay and husband Dave Bueby of Grand Blanc, James Jr. and wife Linda of Clarkston, and Judy and husband Bob Bernard of Flint;
seven grandsons and great-grandsons, John West and wife Carrie, and sons John Jr. and Jackson, James West and wife Jayne, and son Gregory, and Matthew Bueby and wife Jennifer, and son Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mildred, husband Jim, sisters Carol and Shirley, and brother Dell.
