BROWN, Mother Mary Louise, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 9, 2012 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. , Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church, 3184 Pierson Rd., Flint. Rev. Joseph Jenkins officiating. Interment to follow at Lovedale Cemetery. Family hour at the church will commence at 12:30 p.m. Mrs. Brown will lie in state at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Tuesday, from 2 pm to 8 p.m. Mother Mary Louise Brown was born on January 18, 1935 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Rosie & Henry Hemphill. Mary graduated from Flint Northern High School. She was a faithful member of the New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Dr. Fred S. White has been the pastor for 20 years. Mother Brown served on the Mother’s ministry & the Nurse’s Ministry for many years. Mother Brown took the love of Jesus very seriously and attended church and Bible Studies until her health would no longer permit her to do so. She was also a faithful member of International F & A.M. Masons and Order of the Eastern Star, 2nd Marion Anderson #65 serving as District Monitor for 15 years as a member of District #2 Grand Joint Council and also a member of Edith Sampson Grand Chapter of the State of Michigan. Mother Brown’s special pass time was fishing. Mother Brown met and married McClellan paul Brown and to this union were six children. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Cherlain Hemphill, Barbara Danztler, Maurice Brown & Tammy Brown of Flint, Eight Grand Children Eric Hemphill of Las Vegas, NV, Trease Seabron, Marlon Hemphill, Quantavius Hemphill, Flo’Niesha Livingston all of Flint, Tania Harris of Georgia. 18 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, 2 son-in-laws Warren Livingston & William Copeland, both of Flint, 2 god daughters Etta Douglas & Amber Mitchell both of Flint, and Special Friend Esther Banks. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Mother Brown was preceded in death by her mother Rosie Hemphill, father Henry Hemphill, Husband McClellan Paul Brown, son Ricky Hemphill, daughter Patricia Bell, and granddaughter Monique Hemphill. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of McLaren Regional Medical Center, the New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Rev. Dr. Fred S. White, and interim Pastor Rev.
