Doll, Mary Joyce of Flushing, age 88, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at her home. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Monday, June 26, 2017, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Coen will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Mary was born in Flint, Michigan on November 3, 1928, the daughter of John and Bessie (Veal) Hart. She married Robert William Doll on May 16, 1950, in Flint. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1973, in the line of duty as a City of Flint Firefighter. After the death of her husband, Mary went to work at AC Spark Plug for 22 years. Mary enjoyed coloring, word puzzles, watching golf, going out to eat, road trips and listening to music, especially Sam Smith. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Her greatest joy and the light of her life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Lawrence Doll, Gregory Doll, Dawn Marie and husband Terry Nakamura; grandchildren, Robert Doll, Myles (fiancee Amanda Panos) Nakamura, Tyler Nakamura; great-grandchildren, Malea, Atalee; daughter-in-law, Denise Doll; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was also preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and William Hart. |
