SMITH, Thomas Henry, Jr. – of Swartz Creek, MI, formerly of Davison, MI, age 46, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held 6 PM Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison, MI 48423. Cremation following the service. The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 and 5-6 PM Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for Breanna’s education.
Tom was born in Flint, MI on November 4, 1970, son of Thomas Henry Smith, Sr. and the late Jani Ann (Robinson) Russell. He was a Class of 1988 graduate of Davison High School. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He was employed with Keller Williams Realty in Grand Blanc. Tom was an enthusiastic Detroit Lion’s fan and sports fanatic. He enjoyed golfing, going on adventures with his daughter in the pool and he especially loved “Daddy/Daughter Days”.
Tom is survived by his wife, Karrie; daughter, Breanna and her dog, Izzy; 2 sisters, Amy Rostkowycz and Emily Telford; brother, Mark Smith; 2 grandmothers, Melva Robinson and Shirley Smith; Aunt Dorrie and Uncle Jim, Aunt Tina and Uncle John, Aunt Pam and Uncle Bob, Aunt Beth and Uncle Bob Smith; step-father, Brad Russell; step-mother, Jan Smith; parents-in-law, Greg (Karen) Edwards; good friends, Matt Martorelli, Brian, Nancy and Jake Rousseau; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jani Ann (Robinson) Russell; brother, Jeffrey Smith and 2 grandfathers, Jim Robinson and Victor Henry Smith, Jr.
