DICKINSON, Robert Charles “Bob” - Of Flint, age 83, died Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday, July 1, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 1-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Monday at church until the time of the Mass.
Robert was born in Newberry, Michigan on December 1, 1935, the son of the late William and LaVina (Brassard) Dickinson. Bob served in the United States Navy. He was employed with General Motors for 30 years before retiring. Bob was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are wife of 57 years, Mary Forrest Dickinson;
children, Brenda (Gary) LaBar, Tammy (Tony) Porritt, Lori (Bill) Swanson, Brad (Jeni) Dickinson and Angie (Troy) Tyler;
11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren;
brother-in-law, Gary (Pat) Forrest;
sisters-in-law, Nancy (Phil) Parks, Irene Forrest and Sharon Forrest;
and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
