MARZONIE, Frances Catherine -- Age 95, of Flushing, died December 11, 2014. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Wednesday December 17 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Flushing, Fr. Paul Schwermer celebrant. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 1 PM-4PM and 6 PM-8 PM on Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, where a vigil service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday. Also there will be visitation from 9:30 AM until time of mass at the church Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the charity of ones choice or for masses
Frances was born January 11, 1994 in Flint the daughter of George and Rose (Sadzuja) Majda. She was a graduate from Flint Northern High School. She married George A. Marzonie Sr. on January 25, 1947 he preceded her in death on November 11, 1994. She lived in Flint until 1948. She and her husband moved to Atlanta GA for 3 years, then spent many years in Arlington TX and then many years in Bloomfield Hills. She had resided in Flushing from 1999 until present. Frances was a violinist with the Flint Symphony Orchestra and then the West Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra.
Surviving are: 3 children, Mary Roslyn (Gregory) Key of Arlington TX, George A.(Lisa) Marzonie Jr. of Flushing, Dr. Christopher J. (Sheryl) Marzonie of Ann Arbor; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one due in April; sister, Helen (Ted) Nelson of Grand Blanc.
She is preceded in death by her husband George; daughter Francia Conway in 1999; brother, Tony Majda.
