Helen M. (Kleinedler) Sovis

Age 96 of Lennon passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 in Clio.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11am Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Dave Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 to 8pm with a rosary prayed at 6pm.
Helen was born September 6, 1918 in Genesee County, the daughter of Ralph and Ann (Novak) Kleinedler.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Swartz Creek Friendship Club Singers. She enjoyed singing, playing cards and was an avid gardener. She loved to bake and was well known for her wonderful Czech pastries. Most of all Helen enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends.
She married Anthony J. Sovis in Swartz Creek on June 12, 1937; he predeceased her in 1998.
Helen was a homemaker and spent her life raising and caring for her family.
She is survived by her children Tony (Eloise) Sovis Jr. of Montrose, Sylvia (Chet) Grifka of Durand, Helen (Fred) Malik of Lennon, Tom (Jan) Sovis of New Lothrop, Mary Christine Bull of Hilton Head, SC., and Patty (Gary) McNeill of Whitmore Lake; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; many nieces and nephews and other loving family members.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Anthony, parents, son-in-law Jim Bull and a brother.
