POWELL, George A. – Of Montrose, age 97, died Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Living Joy of Flushing.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Visitation 11am-7pm Monday at the funeral home.
Burial in Montrose Cemetery.
George was born in Montrose, Michigan on September 6, 1926, the son of the late George and Gladys (Cole) Powell. He married Nancy Curtis.
Surviving are children, Larry and wife Linda Powell of Montrose, Roger and wife Tansy Powell of Chippewa Lake, Gregory and wife Vicki Powell of Manistee and Darwin and wife Pauline of Florida;
many grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
and sister, Lorene.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy.
