Per Rick’s request, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am on Thursday until the time of service.
An inurnment will take place at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Rick was born in Flint, Michigan on September 4, 1960, the son of Kenneth and Joann (Hernandez) Clutts and was a resident of Linden all of his life. Rick attended Holy Redeemer with his mother. He was employed by several car dealerships, including: Profers Motor Sports, Hank Graff Chevrolet and Milnes Ford. Rick was also the Manager for his family bar, the Dog House Lounge. He enjoyed being outdoors on the water, boating and waterskiing. Rick was also an avid golfer. He was a Detroit Lions and motorcross/NASCAR race fan. He loved his Crown Royal and occasionally attended bingo. Above all, Rick cherished his family and particularly had a soft spot for children and animals.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Kimberly (Eric) Woodra of Grand Blanc and
Michelle (Brad) Parker of Davison;
nieces and nephews, Justin VanWoert, Kari (Eric) Bancroft,
Shannon (Kenny) Drucker, Keigen, Baylee, Braeden, John (Diana) Cross and Jeff Cross and family;
great-niece and nephew, Arianna Bancroft and Jaylen Bancroft;
aunts, Rosie (Sonny) Hall and Stephanie (Dave) Reeves;
and many cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Joann Clutts; aunts, Donna (Manuel) Hernandez and Mary (Jerry) Ketter and Uncle John Hernandez.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Wellbridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Lung Association.
