Shawn D. Currier, age 62, passed peacefully in his home on Friday, July 26, 2024. He was surrounded by his family during his short battle with esophageal/spinal cancer. Per Shawn’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
Shawn was born to Doris (Heath) and Franklin Currier. He attended Davison High School, after which he enlisted in the US Army where he served as a Military Police Officer. Upon returning from his service, Shawn married the love of his life, Susan Isham, in August of 1986. Shawn worked at General Motors in the Flint Metal Fab plant, retiring after 39 years of employment. Shawn was a member of the Birch Run Moose Lodge 2426, where he volunteered his time and served on the board of officers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Franklin Currier; and brother Wayne Cochran. Surviving is his wife, Susan Currier and daughter Melissa; as well as many other beloved family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to help the family with final expenses and medical bills. |
