BOYER, Kenneth C., Sr. - age 86, of Flushing, died March 3, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, March 7, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-8 PM Sunday. Ken was born April 29, 1924 in Flint, the son of Glenn and Elizabeth Boyer. He married Evelyn "Mickie" McLain on June 30, 1945; she preceded him in death on April 12, 2003. Mr. Boyer retired from Wisconsin National Life in 1989. Surviving are: children, Karen Padgett, Ken Boyer Jr., Jim and wife Kathy Boyer; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph and wife Sophia Boyer, Keith Boyer; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Boyer. A special thank you to his grandson, Michael and wife Beth Padgett, great-grandson, Miller Padgett and neighbor, Jan Wallen.
