STEPHENS, Grover Cleveland – Of Flint, age 73, died on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Fostrian Manor.
Memorial Visitation 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016 and Memorial service will be held at 11:30am Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Bruce Garner officiating.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Grover was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 30, 1943, the son of the late Robert M. and Rosa L. (Quinney) Stephens.
He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Church and an avid and dedicated runner of the Crim Festival Races for over 33 years.
Mr. Stephens retired from AC Spark Plug Division with over 40 years of service.
Surviving are three daughters, Stephanie Stephens,
Tammy (Reginald) Crowder and
Tracy (Donquez) Strong;
three granddaughters; three grandsons;
two great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons;
three sisters, Betty (Johnnie) Smith, Rosetta Logan and Camilla Smith;
several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews;
special friend, Gloria Garland.
