KITCHEN, Donald E. – Of Flint, age 85, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Avalon Hospice.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Brad Lake officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 12-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Don was born in Rector, Arkansas on November 18, 1927.
Don served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He enjoyed working on cars and trucks.
Don retired from Semmens Auto/Transmission Service after 30 years of service.
Surviving are wife, Carol;
7 children, Pat (Louise) Thick,
Deloris Piazza,
Donna Hippensteel,
Shirley Garvin,
Donald (Karen) Kitchen,
Wanda Venture and
Sharon (D.J.) Potter;
three step-sons, Gordon Yurk,
Donald (Bonnie) Jurk and
Thomas Jurk;
loving brother, Ken (Georgia) Kitchen;
sister, Virginia Bedwell.
He was preceded in death by his son and daughter.
