Joyce Ann Sweet, age 89, of Columbiaville went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 10, 2017 at Stone Lodge Memory Care in Shepherd.
Joyce was born January 21, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Fred and Louise Wager. She married Bruce W. Sweet on May 19, 1947. He preceded her in death in January of this year. Joyce was a devoted Christian that shared her faith at every opportunity. She was a member of the Columbiaville United Methodist Church for most of her life. In addition, she gathered in fellowship with other believers wherever she was living. Her faith, family, and relationships with people were the focus of her life.
She viewed her home as a blessing from God and enjoyed the time spent caring for it.
Joyce is survived by her children: Bruce Sweet Jr., Sharon Stolz, Sister: Alice Miller, Grandchildren: Julie (Frank) Licavoli, Tom (Samantha) Stolz, Lisa (Tim) VanLaan, great-grandchildren: Caleb, Austin, Hayley, Noah, Jonah, Luke, Levi, Sam, and Noelle.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Columbiaville United Methodist Church. Friends may visit at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville on Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Joyce’s grandson Thomas Stolz Jr. will be officiating. Interment will be at Wood Lawn Cemetery.
