SCHNEIDER, Ralph Walter, age 89, of Gaines, passed away, August 26,2019, at Wellbridge of Fenton. Funeral service will take place 12 PM, Friday, August 30, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Rev. Mike Schneider will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place Thursday at the funeral home from 6 PM to 8 PM and again on Friday from 11 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Ralph was born October 31, 1929, in Flint, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Fredrick and Eva (Asmus) Schneider. He graduated from Flint Northwestern High School. Ralph worked for General Motors Fisher Body as a tool and die maker. He was united in marriage to Clara Jurk in 1953 in Flint. In his free time, Ralph liked to operate his family farm. He is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly (Richard) McElyea and Tamera (Steve Mitchell) Schneider; two grandchildren, Aaron (Kelsey) Cohoon and Andi Cohoon; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Ralph is preceded in death by his wife Clara, parents, Fredrick and Eva, and five siblings, Fred Schneider, Lillian Deines, Eva Sawyer, Donald Schneider and David Schneider.
