ELSWICK, Raymond Eugene “Gene” - Of Burton, age 82, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Mission Point of Holly.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 11am-2pm and 3-6pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Raymond was born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia on April 13, 1935, the son of the late Howard and Mollie (Stevenson) Elswick. On March 29, 1958, he married Barbara Kittle in Flint and she preceded him in death in 2013. He was employed with General Motors Truck and Bus and retired after 38 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #598. Raymond also loved to hunt.
Surviving are sons, David St. John and Brent (Rebecca) Elswick;
grandson, Matthew Elswick;
sisters, Ruth (Homer) Keen and Lona White;
brothers, Ralph Elswick, Robert (Dawn) White and Perry White.
Raymond was also preceded in death by grandson, Christopher Elswick, sisters, Maybelle White and Betty Elswick and sister-in-law, Sandy Elswick.
