George "Bill" McLean

Age 78 of Owosso passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Cal Emerson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8pm.

Bill was born January 10, 1938 in Detroit, the son of George and Evelyn (Sollars) McLean.

He married Carolyn L. Roush in Fenton on December 29, 1984. They moved to Wewahitchaka, Florida after his retirement and returned to Michigan in 2006 to be closer to family. Bill enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and U of M football.

He was employed with Cadillac Motors and GM Willow Run Assembly where he worked in Plant Security, retiring in 1991.

Bill is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughter Lisa Davis and fiancé, Dan Letinski; grandchildren Amanda (Mark) Pelon, Tiffany(Michael) Cameron, Chelsea Davis, Jamie McLean and fiancé, Amanda Letner, and Nicole (Tim) Black; great-grandchildren Aria Cameron and Avery Black; brother Edward (Sue) McLean; sister Bonnie (Edward) Randolph; in-laws Neil and Lucille Starr; special companion Molly; many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Lynn McLean, brother Richard McLean and special uncle Kenneth Sollars.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiawassee County Humane Society.
