HINTZ, Peggy J. – Of Fenton, age 91, died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Caretel Inns of Linden.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at St. John Catholic Church, 600 North Adelaide in Fenton, Father David Harvey officiating.
Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the St. John Chapel Restoration Fund.
Visitation 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Hintz will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the Mass.
Peggy was born in Saginaw, Michigan on February 14, 1927 and was a resident of Flint for 14 years before moving to Fenton in 1963.
She graduated in 1945 from Saginaw High School. On June 7, 1947, she married Leon Hintz at Sacred Heart Church in Saginaw and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2001.
Mrs. Hintz was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Peggy was part of the initial group of volunteers for Hospice of the Fenton area from 1981-1991. She was volunteer at St. John School and member of CCW at St. John.
Surviving are 2 sons, Dennis M. (partner, Mary) Hintz of Flint,
Michael D. (Teri) Hintz of Howell, Michigan;
2 daughters, Caryn (James) Datson of Saline, Michigan,
Margaret (Gary) King of Fenton;
grandchildren, Ame Schaefges, Kristin Peloso, Jonathan and Michael King;
great-grandchildren, Aurora, Everett, Dominic and Charlotte;
sister-in-law, Winona Osmond of Vassar;
several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Margaret J. Osmond; brothers, Frank H. and John T. Osmond; sister, Eleanor L. Ziegler and daughter-in-law, Louetta Hintz.
The family would like to thank Caretel Inns of Linden and Heart to Heart Hospice of Swartz Creek for their kind and compassionate care provided to Peggy.
