JAMES, Daniel M. – of Burton, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at a later date when we can all gather together. There will be a private service for interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter, 21311 Civic Center Drive, Southfield, MI 48076-3911.
Dan was born in Flint, MI on February 18, 1948, son of Llewellyn and Jeane James. He married Carole Fraim on June 17th, 1995 in Davison, MI. He worked, when younger, for James Lumber before later becoming a Corrections Officer for the State of Michigan. Dan served as an Army Medic in Vietnam and was a proud Veteran. He loved being with his family and was an avid sports fan. Dan, known to his family and friends as Ice, loved to laugh and was a great storyteller. His laughter and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Daniel is survived by loving wife, Carole James of Burton; two sons, Terence James of Seattle, WA and Ryan James of Seattle, WA; sister, Marjory Flowers of CA; step-brother, Julius Stern of Holly, brothers-in-law who he thought of as brothers, Ron Fraim of Davison, Dave Fraim of Davison and Terry Fraim of Goodrich and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, John James.
