GREEN, Lymon "Lee" - Age 94, of Swartz Creek, passed away, Saturday, November 2, 2024. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via the link on Mr. Green obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Dr. Jim Seelye officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at the funeral Wednesday at 5 PM and A Order of Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek Community Church or Elf Khurafeh Tranportation Fund.
Lee was born August 15, 1930 in Arab, AL, the son of Floyd and Bertha (Feemster) Green. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Mary Louella Stievenart July 5, 1958 in Macon, GA. He retired from General Motors as a Millwright in 1990 after 32 years of service; he then worked for Albert Chevrolet in Mt. Morris. Lee was a member of Swartz Creek Community Church, U.A.W. Local 659, Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge #458, Linden Order of Eastern Stars #175, Elf Khurafeh and the Bay City Consistory. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and boating.
Surviving are: his wife of 66 years, Mary; children, Jimmie Green of New Mexico, Gary Green of Blountsville, AL, Deborah Seelye of Swartz Creek and William Keith (Terri) Green of Durand; grandchildren, Eric Green, Robert Green Tracey Green and Jimmy (Emily) Seelye; great grandchildren, Abigail and Audrey Seelye, and Lucas and Noah Green; brother, John B. (Dean) Green of Blountsville, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents. grandsons, David and Clinton Green; brothers, Kenneth and Radford Green; and sisters, Bernice Johnson and Nila Gradine. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
