SHOULTZ, Barbara Jane (Haney) - Age 91, of Fenton, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Josh Gates officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Barbara was born Easter Sunday, April 1, 1923 to Theo C. and Maude F. (Yackie) Haney. She worked at Fisher Body Tank Plant during WWII as a switch board operator. Barbara married Walter Shoultz May 5, 1951. She was a life member of Alpha Iota International Sorority, member of EL Said Court No. 28 L.O.S. of N.A. and an associate member of Hurley Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Barbara spent her last days surrounded by family and friends. Her sense of humor and love of life and fun will be missed by all.
She leaves daughter, Margie Biggart (Jim); son, Fred Shoultz (Brenda); grandchildren, Christine Murray (Dustin), Patricia Biggart, Julianne Biggart, Robert Shoultz, and Daniel Shoultz; sisters-in-law, Janet Haney and Alice Stuart; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Shoultz; sister, Patricia Haney; and brother, William C. Haney. The family wishes to thank the staff of Cartel Inns of Linden.
