DYKE, RYAN MITCHELL – Of Grand Blanc, age 52, died Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made Gift of Life, Michigan, Michigan Humane Society or the charity of your choosing.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ryan was born October 9, 1971 in Flint, MI to William and Christine Dyke.
He graduated from Troy Athens High School.
He married Susan Duncanson, the love of his life, April 7, 2001.
Ryan was an artist of life. For 30 years, he changed peoples’ lives by crafting prosthetic limbs to help amputees restore their mobility.
Ryan was also an artist of music. Playing keyboards was his passion. He had so much fun being on stage and his bandmates were his family. His love for music started at a young age and remained one of his greatest joys right until his passing.
His love for the University of Michigan Wolverines and trips to the farm in Harbor Beach were only rivaled by his love for his wife. Together, they created a life of laughter and love. It was the simple things in life that made every day brighter. Ryan’s infectious smile and quick wit will never be replaced. His impact on everyone around him whether it was neighbors, friends or strangers will remain unmatched.
Ryan will continue to help others through the Gift of Life Michigan.
Ryan is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Dyke. He is also survived by his father William Dyke, brother Kevin Dyke and his wife Laurie. Brother-in-law Paul Duncanson and his wife Nancy. Nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Christine Dyke. Grandparents Walter and Tillie Dyke and Andrew and Marion Wittbrodt. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Robert and Dorothy Duncanson.
