LALONE Violet Marie - Age 83, of Flint, died June 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until time of service Tuesday. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Gaines. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. Violet was born October 20, 1934 in Elkton, Michigan. She worked as a full time greeter at Meijer for 17 years until retiring at the age of 80. Violet was a life long believer in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Violet served as a Cub Scout Den mother, Sunday School Teacher, and Youth Group Leader. She never tired of working for her Lord and in service of others.
She is survived by her children, Karrie (Paul) Johnston of Linden, Michael (Teri) LaLone of Oakland Township and James LaLone of Flint; She was the loving grandmother of Kelly (John) Phillips, Michael LaLone, Patrick LaLone, Tamara (Trevor) Sides, Amanda Van Tuyl, Jacob Andrews and four great-grandchildren. The beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna (Hayes) Willard and her 10 siblings. The family would like to thank the staff of Wellbridge in Fenton and Heartland Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
