LEACH, Nation Shelby “Buzz” - Of Mt. Morris, age 86, went home to be with his son, Scott, Sunday, March 3, 2013.
A Memorial Service will be held 1pm Thursday, March 7, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. A Military Service conducted by the VFW Chevrolet Motor Post #3087 will be held Thursday immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Cremation has taken place.
in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or the Veterans Administration.
Visitation 12noon Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Nation was born in Sherman, Mississippi on March 4, 1926, to Leroy and Bertha Mae (Grace) Leach. He married Betty J. Hunter on July 29, 1949 in Battle Creek, MI. Mr. Leach was a member of Swartz Creek Lodge #458 F.&A.M. He worked for Flint Schools System as Director of Maintenance 1954-84. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and Air Force serving from 1944 to 1951. He enjoyed music, playing and dancing. Mr. Leach was a devoted husband, father and grandpa.
Surviving are wife, Betty;
daughter, Vicki (Steve) Faculak;
and the late son, Scott Dennis Leach;
son, Charles R. (Angela) Leach;
son, Craig S. (Laureen) Leach;
grandchildren, Steve (Denise) Faculak III, Scott (Melissa) Faculak, Isis Leach, Jason Leach, Charles “Rusty” (Kaylyn Kohn) Leach, Leah (Jason) Morse, Craig (Char Kildee) Leach II, and Cody (Kirsten) Leach;
great-grandchildren, eight with two on the way;
brother, James (Donna) Leach; special family friend, JoAnn Jacob;
He was preceded in death by son Scott, brother Frank, sister Katherine and parents.
