Hanson, Earl Louis - Age 86, of Flint, died December 24, 2018. Services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday December 29 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Visitation will be held 9 AM Saturday until the time of service. Interment at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the charity of their choice. Earl was born September 9, 1932 in Flint the son of Olaf E. and Lillian E. (Williams) Hanson. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army. He married Lynn (Ringwelski) Rodda on December 27, 1996. Earl retired from J&J Grocery store in Pontiac as a produce manager. He was an avid runner and a wonderful family man. Earl is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lynn Rodda; 4 children, David Hanson of Las Vegas, NV; Lisa Hanson-Knight (Jeff Knight) of Evart, MI., Lori Hanson-Thompson (Dan Thompson) of Flint, Lana (Nick) Hanson of Las Vegas, NV; 2 step-children, Patrick Rodda of Standish, Melissa (Jason) Olson of West Bend WI; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Beverly Freeman, Lillian VanDeussen, Dick Hanson; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Hanson, Floyd Hanson, Marge Lemcool, Don Hanson, Dorothy Fisher, Butch Hanson; . The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Regency of Grand Blanc and especially Tracy and Willie. He was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Stacey.
