BAYLEY, Richard George. – of Flint, age 88, passed away June 4, 2019 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, June 7, 2019 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423 and one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries or American Cancer Society
Richard was born in Flint, MI on June 15, 1930, son of the late William and Annie (Brown) Bayley. Richard married Anne Marie Wheeler August 8, 1953 at Court Street United Methodist Church in Flint, MI. She preceded him in death November 4, 2014. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1948. Richard was active in the United States Navy from 1948 – 1952. He retired as a toolmaker from AC Spark Plug and was a long time member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Richard enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Richard is survived by his children, Jeff (Alison) Bayley, Carol (David) McCarty, Judy (Scott) Miller and Thomas Bayley; grandchildren, Brendon (Sarah) Bayley, Colin (Elizabeth) Bayley, Emily (TJ) Ashby and Jared(Ellie) Bayley; great-grandchildren, Emery, Charlotte, Ethan, Jack and Lennon; brother in law, Gary (Madonna) Wheeler; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anne; son, Richard Bayley Jr.; daughter in law, Diana Bayley; siblings, Eleanor (Rex) Edgley, Win Bilan, Bill (Lucille) Bayley and Ruth (Cliff) Radant.
