JAGGERS, Vestal H. – of Mt. Morris, age 85, died on Monday, January 7, 2019 at McLaren Regional Medical Center of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday, January 11, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Darrel Manning officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until the time of service at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Vestal was born February 7, 1933 in Adamsville, Tennessee to the late John and Surina (Hughes) Jaggers. He married Jackie Sneed on October 28, 1977. Mr. Jaggers is a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Vestal retired from Flint Truck and Bus in 1996 with 33 years seniority. He was a member of the UAW Local #598, and Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio. Vestal enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing. He loved motorcycles - especially his Harley’s, and Tennessee. Vestal was a fun, loving man that had a contagious hearty laugh. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Jackie Jaggers; Son, Jimmy Jaggers (Fiancée Lona); Daughter, Karen Weston; Stepdaughters: Vicki Freeman and Lori Freeman; Grandchildren: Brandy, Cody, Jonathon, and Haley; Step grandchildren: Jordan (Tesia), and Taylor (Jayson); Great grandchildren: Ava, Aleena, Aryia, Jaylen, and Ostyn; Twin brother, Jim (Linda) Jaggers; Siblings: Janice Yarlborough, Walstine (Susie) Jaggers, Peggy (James) Hanna; Sister in law, Shirley Gray; Best buddy, Bob Sargent; Several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. Vestal was also preceded in death by his brother, Glendon “Gilly” Jaggers; Daughter in law, Robin Jaggers; Furry companions: McDuff, Beau, and Angie.
