Rowe, Ralph R. Jr., of Flushing, age 93, died Monday, April 29, 2019, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Randy Schultz will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Mr. Rowe was born in Flint, Michigan on September 20, 1925, the son of Ralph Sr. and Irma (Graham) Rowe. He was a 1944 graduate of Flint Northern High School and graduated early to enter the Army Air Corp. during World War II. He married Nina Beyersdorf in Hemlock, Michigan on June 7, 1952. After 46 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on October 27, 1998. Mr. Rowe worked as a sign painter for Walker and Co. after his discharge from the Air Corp. and continued to work for that company through its various names until his retirement in 1991. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Rowe is survived by his children, Jeffrey and wife Annette Rowe of Flushing, Michele and husband Steve Ramo of Davison; grandchildren, Melissa (Kevin) Mayer, Matthew Rowe, Anthony (Lauren), Aileen (Vince) King, and Christopher Rowe, Nicole, Christina, and Ashley Ramo; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Anthony Mayer; sisters, Marie Reaves, Janice and husband Jim Johnson; brother-in-law, Olen Johnson; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gregory; sisters, Ardith Toman, Lola Johnson; brother, Frank Rowe; and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law. |
