WAGNER, Robert John – of Davison, MI, age 97, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2024. Cremation has taken place.
Robert was born in Elba Township on July 27, 1927, son of the late Alexander and Mabel (Richards) Wagner. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1946. Robert was a Korean War Veteran, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952. His career at General Motors spanned 41 years, a testament to his dedication and work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Robert was passionate about farming and his collection of International Farmall Tractors. His love for farming was a constant throughout his life, a cherished activity that brought him great joy. He was also a proud member of several organizations including the Great Lakes Beagle Club, Otisville Lodge #401 F. & A.M., and a lifetime member and volunteer at Crossroads Village, where he was actively involved in attending, buying, and selling at auctions. His dedication to community and camaraderie was evident in his long-standing membership with the Davison VFW #4087. On January 3, 1953, he married Patricia, who was his beloved wife and steadfast partner throughout their years together. He will be remembered fondly for his commitment to his passions, his contributions to his community, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia Wagner; 3 children, Daniel (Robin Goddard) Wagner, Debra (Joe) Barnett and Dave Wagner; 5 grandchildren, Alex Wagner, Avery (Dan) Cole, Jason (Wendy) Easter, Travis (Brandy) Kelly and Sarah (Cory Conner) Wagner; 5 great-grandchildren, Logan Easter, Ella Easter, Michael Gooding, Olivia Kelly and Norah Connor; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Mabel Wagner; 12 siblings, Carl, Lloyd, Myrtle, Fern, Virgil, Delbert, Blanche, Iva, Duane, Lerena, Richard and Lawrence.
